Work for us

Are you looking to make a difference to the lives of local people affected by cancer?

Whatever role you do as part of #TeamBigC you can help us achieve our mission.

Our Values

Big C’s Core Values are Respect, Empathy, Support, Trust and Honesty. They provide a benchmark for behaviour across the organisation. If you are passionate about joining our mission, share these values, and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.

Five reasons for joining our team:

Benefits.
A variety of employee benefits, such as a 5% Pension contribution, Cycle to Work Scheme, 33 days holiday per annum, staff discounts via Edenred, Company Sick Pay and Life Assurance (subject to scheme eligibility).

Wellbeing and inclusion.
We are committed to ensuring inclusion and respect for individuality and diversity across all areas of the organisation. To support this, we have signed up to being Disability Confident Committed, have Workplace Health Champions and Mental Health First Aiders within our teams to support you at work.

Learning and career development.
Your manager will work with you to understand your strengths and needs, provide regular feedback and help to source appropriate learning opportunities to support the achievement of your job responsibilities and longer-term aspirations.

Teamwork.
A dedicated and supportive team – whether you want to work in one of our shops, centres or head office, you will be working with people who are committed to achieving our charities’ mission.

Make a difference.
The most important reason by far is knowing that the work that you are doing is helping local people affected by cancer and being able to see the impact of your work on a regular basis.

Find out how Big C can support you and your family if you’ve been affected by cancer.

We can help to improve your quality of life, physical health, and mental wellbeing.

Some people take to the skies, run, jump, walk, swim and cycle whilst others make tea, bake cakes or shave heads.

What will you do to make a difference?

Two men from Norfolk who found themselves with cancer and having to travel for treatment, vowed local people would have access to the best treatment and support … and in 1980 the Big C Appeal was formed.
