You may wish to fundraise yourself, with family and friends or within your local group. Whatever the idea, be it large or small, we know you will have a great time raising vital funds for Big C.

Did you know we have 12 charity shops across Norfolk including a dedicated Craft Supplies Shop, Furniture Emporium, Bridal and a high-end fashion Boutique? We are always looking for high quality donations.

We are always looking for volunteers including in our Support Centres, shops and at our Fundraising events. Volunteering is a great way to spend some free time, meet new people, and gain experience.

Help us build a new Cancer Support Centre in Norwich. Support our vision to bring greater cancer care nearer to home. Donate now.

We are a local charity,
committed to providing outstanding
cancer support when and where
people need it, now and for the future

For 40 years, Big C has been supporting those affected by cancer.

From the first small, but important fundraising project providing chemotherapy equipment at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital in 1980, the charity has grown into an impressive organisation providing practical and emotional support in our Big C Centres, funding lifesaving medical equipment, funding internationally significant research projects based at the Norwich Research Park and educating local people about cancer.

Sadly, most people will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives, whether that be their own diagnosis, or that or a loved one or friend.

Today, Big C has four established Cancer Support Centres; in the grounds of the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, in King’s Lynn, Great Yarmouth and within the Louise Hamilton Centre in Gorleston.

The Centres are visited more than 22,000 times each year, providing a bedrock of support, information, complementary therapies, tea, biscuits and a listening ear to many thousands of people affected by cancer, often when they are attending hospital appointments, or during treatment.

I wouldn't really believe it was possible, but it has, and is, changing lives. Sometimes I think we all have a purpose in this world, and I wonder whether I was ill to actually create Big C as it is today.
